Lajit

Lajit olivat yksilöllisiä elämänmuotoja. Tavallisesti lajit jaoteltiin kolmeen ryhmään niiden älyllisyystason mukaan: älylliset, osittain älylliset ja ei-älylliset. Galaksissa oli yli 20 miljoonaa tunnettua lajia. Älyllisiä lajeja kutsuttiin joskus virheellisesti roduiksi, joka terminä kuitenkin merkitsee ennemminkin aljin alalajeja.
