Otettuaan nyt käyttöön nimen Lumiya, hän kouluttautui [[Sithit|sithien]] salaisuuksiin Vaderin alaisuudessa. Häntä tarjottiin [[Palpatine]]lle yhdeksi [[Keisarin kädet|keisarin käsistä]]. Sekä Palpatinen että Vaderin kuoltua [[Endorin taistelu]]ssa, Lumiya julistautui Sithien mustaksi valtiattareksi. Hän myöhemmin käännytti ja koulutti Vaderin tyttärenpojan, [[Jacen Solo]]n sithiksi ja sytytti [[Toinen galaktinen sisällissota|toisen galaktisen sisällissodan]] ennen kuin hänen entinen rakastajansa, Luke Skywalker surmasi hänet [[40 ABY]].
